Importing and exporting databases is a huge thing nowadays, mostly because lots of database tools allow us to do so.

This guide will lead you through the import and export process of a MySQL database, to serve as a reference for any case you might stumble upon.

Guide
This guide will use phpMyAdmin as our main tool to import and export our database.

Exporting your database

Log into your web server's cPanel and scroll down until you see the phpMyAdmin item, click on it.

Once inside, look over to the left panel and click on the database you want to export. Once in, click on the Export item in the top bar. You can customize the export options to your liking. Once you're done, select the desired export format and click Go. This will download the complete database file to your machine.
