In this article we will explain how to setup a custom 404 error page on your website. First, you will need to upload your 404 page in a directory of your choice, and then remember the path to the file. For the purpose of this tutorial, we will be linking to pages/404.html.

After uploading your 404 page, you now need to click Settings on the top right of File Manager and enable 'Show hidden files (dotfiles)'
Next, you need to open your .htaccess file, if you do not have one you can create one by selecting '+ File' and name the file .htaccess
You then want to add the snippet of code below and change /pages/404.html to match the path of your file. You may also edit '404' to other error pages such as a 401 (Unauthorized error).

ErrorDocument 404 /pages/404.html
